Ok. I already faved this before but now is time for some new highlights :P so here I go again. Due to the recent discussion that was predominantly about the highlights, me, belmikry and shyxsakura discussed highlights and this is the only one that the two of us agreed since the very begining

Ok. Why I wanted to highlight this wallpaper:
blueSake is very a talented and amazing artists. She experiments a lot and tries to find new means of expression. A master of originality and uniqueness. Honestly. this wall is outstanding in my humble opinion. Hardly anyone could express so many emotions and create this kinf of mood through such use of a perspective and choice of a theme. Which is even multiplies by the sole background (yes the clouds :P). The technique is awesome there is no denying that Another big plus is that japanesee'ness of the wall, enhanced by the very good choice of textures. I am really awaiting your new creations :] I am sure you will surprise us with your future walls ^^

Kuroimisa ^^ You certainly did it. A masterpiece. This is the most amazing wall I have seen in some time. The digital sketch is the thing. You really overcome your skills with every new submission I am more and more curious of your future ones. This one is simply glorious. The sketch style make it delicately elegant. As you said it yourself it is far from crowded but nevertheless it is very detailed (all those paterrns O_O;). It deserves a highlight *highlights*

Sandra, you really outdone yourself :] Have not seen a cloudy wall this nice in a long time :] the composition and textures used are very nice and add to the kind of gloomy atmosphere and unique style, though perhaps the chara is too dark :S keep up the good work *highlights*

You basically know what I think of this wall :] A certain improvement from the last one. Involved a real lot of effort and patience :] You improved all mistakes and took into consideration all of my suggestions and comments and worked on the wall more. Thus it turned out a really nice composition all together. The only thing perhaps slightly off that came to my mind just now, is the shadow dropped down by the girl, I think it might be too dark compared to the other shadows. But it can be just me :P Great work really.

After discussing it with Kel-san, the two of us agree that this wall simply must go into highlights today The concept is really good (check storyII), you got a real plus for creativity :] and the exacution and how you carried out the meaning of your wall is simply flawless. I really love the use of various textures and your way of operating with light and shadows that add more depth and realism to the background and at the same time give prominence to the chara. So, after discussing it with Marissa and Saikusa the three of us agree that all of your Chen Shu Fen's submission are not only of the best quality but also beautiful. The artwork and style of this author is simply amazing and different from what one usually associates with manga His characters are much more human like. Their proportions are perfect. This piece was choosen by saikusa for its "compsure & textures, with the scarlet & gold colours piercing through. Touches of autumn gold, and summer red make it slightly seasonal too". Finally managed to get back online and start writing the comment >.> Before it was me who highlighted this wallpaper but when I started writing the comment my electricity went off Luckily there was Keltosh online and we have been having a long discussion on which walls deserve the highlight and he yet again managed to save the situation ^^; it would be weird to have a highlight without a moderator commenting it thus I am glad Kel did it in my stead Ok, though Kel already did the work I was supposed to do, let me still write the comment I intended too... (sorry for the longinsh introduction;))

It is hard to comment on the abstract for me, I can only say it is really flawless and masterfully carried out ^^ I really love how it creates and adds a feeling of motion to the whole composition. Moreover the whole abstract and the choice of colors adds to the depthness of the whole composition (it is not 2 dimensional thanks to it). And of course perfect scan exctraction and cleaning :] So quoting Keltosh "a flawless exacution" and thus deserves a highlight Good work Chloe-chan

Back to the wall :] I saw this wall first at AP and later here When I saw it I was really impressed. I am still not sure which version I like best, with black or white backround ^^; The white background makes the character the most prominent in the whole concept, which is beautiful but on the other hand the black one makes the character delicatelly surfacing from the solid looking bg which also creates an interesting effect. I hope you get what I try to say ^^; (<-sux at commenting.) White is more colorful, black more toned. Both concepts are nice and both have their strong points :] And both are the example of perfect and flawless vector So, as pointed before by Kel, the two of us agree that this purely magnificent Millenium Actress wall deserves a highlight and rightly so Keep it up ^^

So, as usual after a long and heated debate with Keltosh... no joking there we were unanimously agreed on the highlight for this wallpaper :] Beautiful vectoring job as always. After some discussion with Keltosh the wallpaper has been awarded a highlight ^^
It is an example of: flawless execution and flawless extraction. Quality work through out, the only drawback is that it is not really original but since it is a first wallpaper submitted here by new member, and already of that quality it deserves a highlight :]

After a short discussion with Keltosh, the both of us decided to highlitgh this wallpaper (our personal favourite today - no real discussion involved lol) Leaving that aside, Xerojb used an unique image for this wallpaper that together with his masterful use of a stock image created great atmosphere. The amazing light effect together with the perfect choice of colors, the warm tones together with the shadows and finally the grim mood of the whole make for a masterpiece

Ok. Back to the wall ^^ I must say that I am speechles. I remember the first wall you sent me and all the comments I gave you and� you really did change everything I said you should, that is like � wow

I am comparing now the first (one that you send me) and the last version of the wallpaper � one can see that it went a long way.

The first wallpaper you send to me had few major problems:
- extraction of the character, esp. her wings, moon and of the leaves (not clean, shattered border lines)
- the overall quality of the scan (noise, shattered lines again etc)
- lack of the visible and consistent source of light
- and what Mike called �shiny magical things� that to me looked simply like stars and I did not like them because they were shinning through the branches lol
- my last but maybe not the most important comment was that the overall wall might want to use the variety of leaves and not just one type of those

The wall just submitted (as I already pointed out is a real improvement ^^)
1) the character � you really improved the quality of the scan, it required much time and effort but it certainly paid off, now it is more solid, with clear cut flowing lines and you do not have to cover it all in mist � a very good improvement ^^
2) the moon � before as you said to me, you used a moon from a stock photo � it was not bad� no it was bad that first moon was very big (too big for this wallpaper concept, it stood out awfully the impression magnified by its poor extraction) and of low quality, and extracted with few mistakes; now the moon fits perfectly. You did it carefully and with effort and look it again pays off � Now the moon suits the wallpaper perfectly and does not stand out.
3) the toned starry night background � improvement
4) giving up on the glow around the character and falling leaves � adds to the solidity of the whole composition
5) adding the light to the wall � another improvement
6) adding variety and shading to leaves � thumbs up

Overall: I really really like it and I am proud of you ^_^ That was a long way, but this is truly my favourite wall from you :] and inmo the best so far just keep it up.

Oh! And thanks for the dedication ^^

What can I say, Keltosh already said everything there is :P I am just curious which one of us will hit the highlights first thing tomorrow Marvelous wall Kalico and I am glad you will still frequent this site ^^
